They go to there corners at the end of the round but Penn asks the doctor to look at him and Penn's corner say its over. Goerges St-Pierre wins by stoppage.
Not the greatest fight of all time but it had some really good action it just seemed like an exercise in seeing how bad of a beating that BJ Penn could take. Penn just isn't in Pierre's class especially not at Welterweight. I get the feeling that Penn has probably held back alot of guys back to have this rematch. Still regardless a good fight albeit onesided, the atomsphere really made this contest. (C+)
Overall Thoughts: This was a good show, headlined by three strong matches that all went a good lenght. This card didn't have any cool submission but it had one brutal knock out. What made this show was having lots of good evenly match fights, rather than the one sided albeit explosive matches of the Lesnar-Couture card. This is a show that definitely gave you your money's worth. Machida, Jones and St-Pierre came out of this show looking like absolute world beaters. (7.5/10)
