Daveportivo's Cultural Evaluation Facility

Music, Politics, Flim, Books and TV all shall be reviewed within.

This weeks track of the week is Sound Of Kadura - Bakura Som Sistema,

This tracks been around for a while now but it didn't feel right in the winter, this is a summer track, a dancing track. It's bizarre, it has the agression of grime, and feels very very dark at times but with a wild African drum beat and bass line that you can't resist. It runs you over like a freight train. It of course features the immeasurably creative force that is M.I.A, for all her uniqueness and creative this lady knows her way around a monster hook and this track is no expection. This track is like an African street party come to life, via the Hackney and some how sound right at home in my middle England house hold.

The dancing in this video is friggin insane. There is no doubt that Black dudes are the kings of the dance floor.

About this blog

This is your one stop shop of pop culture reviews I most specialize in Music, Politics & Film. I occasionally delve into TV reviews. I've got a Politics MA and a War Studies BA, I'm taking a year out before starting a Phd so when it comes to History and Politics I'm pretty well versed but I tend to keep this blog fun rather than serious.
