Okay as much as I hate to music for this show what's even worse is the voice over guy, seriously the way he says "Ultimate Fightaaarrrrr" simply couldn't be any more grating if he tried.

We're in the house and the UK and US are debating why Bisping didn't show and then the US guys trying to advise Dean on how to avoid the triangle when Cameron and the old guy get in each others face, the old bloke on Team US whose name I can't remember for the life of me calls him a parasite.

We go to the fight announcement and its going to be Martin Stapleton vs. Cameron Dollar. Team UK think Stapleton is going to be too aggresive and scare the hell out of Cameron. Dollar looks very nervous almost scared of Stapleton.

Bisping makes up with Dean Amasinger for missing the fight his excuse is that he was jet lagged and he passed out and woke up after the fight had finished. Bisping seemed pretty genuine. Martin Stapleton is a army training officer, they teach him to uses his strikes and avoids the tackles of Dollar whose a state level wrestler, this looks like a very good match up.

Cameron looks very very scared in the house and doesn't really get Stapleton's jokes and thinks the guys a nutter. Cameron is obssessed with wrestling so Dan Henderson wants to teach him the stand up game. He actually manages to miss the punch pads and he's off balence everytime he throws a punch. The game plan for US is to land punches to set up a takedown. This is a really tough fight to call. Stapleton misses his family and Cameron Dollar looks scared and all over the place mentally.

Martin Stapleton vs. Cameron Dollar

My Prediction:
Tough fight to call, if Cameron gets a takedown he'll win easily but Martin looks like he has way too much in the way of striking, I'll go with Stapleton (My Record 3-1)

Round One: Very cagey start Stapleton gets a jab but after catching a kick Martin goes for a takedown messes it up walking into a big right hand and then losses back control has the shit beat out of him before Cameron chokes him out with the rear naked choked.

Wow Stapleton got absolutely demolished, I'm stunned he went for a takedown on a top ammatuer wrestler. Very short explosive fight.

Martin Stapleton is absolutely devasted after the match. Cameron is thrilled and goes back to being his cocky self. We then go to the fight announcement and its going to be Frank Lester vs. James Wilkes. Frank says Wilkes is a pussy on his feet. Wilkes is the second guy on the show from Leicester on the show. Bisping thinks they've underestimated Wilkes as think he can't strike and take a hit. James is very cool and confident a calm and proffesional fighter.

Frank and Damarquez are talking total shit, he calls Wilkes a traitor for living in the US for five years, he says he's going to fuck his face up and mess him up. Frank comes accross as a total prick. Henderson explains their going for the old boxing tactis of stick and move, they want Frank to light him up. Frank Lester looks like he's hyper active he can't stop or calm down. Frank says he hates Wilkes he says he wants to knee his face in. This guy is a psychopath. Damarquez says he'll give Frank a hundred dollars for knocking out one of Wilkes teeth. James looks very chilled he says he plans to celebrate with Carrot cake.

James Wilkes vs. Frank Lester

My Prediction:
I've already seen this fight so I obviously won't do a prediction but my record still stands at 3-2.

Round One: James lands a jab and a little flurry, Frank scrambles to avoid the jabs and catches James with a couple of hooks, James walks right into some wild swings but seems okay. James blocks and swats some of Frank's heavy hands and gets a leg kick. James gets rocked walking into a hook and Frank unloads with James on the floor but James hooks the leg and nearly gets a heel hook. James gets a side mount and goes for a camora but Frank manages to escape. Frank goes for a kick but James Nearly gets another heel hook. They stand up James walks into three monster hooks but James just sucks it up and rocks Frank with big knee strike. James gets a front kick to the chest but gets hit with a cross in reply. James gets Frank in the clinch and hits another knee strike. James gets a belly to belly style takedown and gets a headlock just as the round ends.

In between rounds Frank has had his teeth knocked out, and won't come out for the round Bisping goes mental at Frank sayign they should ring the bell. It turns out Frank's teeth are stuck in the gums shield and they have to cut the tooth out of the gum sheild. Dramatic stuff.

Round Two: Frank catches a boot but can't land. Frank misses a wild swing and James is dropping his hands. James gets a nice round house kick. James connects with a nice jab and goes for a takedown but both men end up in the clinch and James throws a series of uppercuts. James gets an elbow strike and a takedown but Frank makes it to his feet. Frank lands some big shots but James takes him down and gets a front mount again and brings the pain before battling and locking in an arm bar for the victory.

Absolutely amazing fight, this is what MMA is all about, constant action with a variety of different styles, the knee strike that knocked out Frank's front four teeth was sick. I really rate Wilkes he seems to have a great chin as he was walking through some huge rights and lefts. Best fight of the series so far easily, this is about as good as you can hope for at Ultimate fighter level.

I just realised I haven't actually been keeping the scores it stands at Team UK 3-2 Team US.

Overall Thoughts:
Really good episode the in ring action was really really strong and they had some fun character stuff with Bisping explaining why he didn't show up and the story of the cocky git getting shut up by the cool calm proffesional. If your not sure about the Ultimate Fighter I recommend this episode to wet your taste buds. (9/10)

This is your one stop shop of pop culture reviews I most specialize in Music, Politics & Film. I occasionally delve into TV reviews. I've got a Politics MA and a War Studies BA, I'm taking a year out before starting a Phd so when it comes to History and Politics I'm pretty well versed but I tend to keep this blog fun rather than serious.
