Plot Synopsis: Zohan (Adam Sandler) is fed up being the unstoppable Isreal anti-terrorist killing machine but he has a dream to be a hair stylist so he fakes his own death and moves to America. He becomes Scrappy Coco famous stylist but will his secret identity stay secret.
Review: This film is horrible, its awful Sandler slapstick with his homophobic, racist, sexist humour. Drawing parrells to I Prenounce You Chuck And Larry Sandler vails his comedy as a defence of minorities when he infact is perpetuating more stereotypes than he is laying to rest, but it ends happily so its all okay, right? Wrong it's bad, Sandler is a mystery revered in the US and loathed accross the rest of the globe. It's hard to comprehend how he's so loved in American pop culture, he even got a life time achievement award from MTV. No matter how bad your taste in comedy it seems Sandler is thoroughly rejected in the UK. That said I found this effort terrible but at least watchable with a few jokes that don't make you laugh but you can at least appreciated but they are more than counter balenced by the fifty or so gags that make you embarressed to be watching. The sole bright spot in this movie was the ridiculously gorgeous Palestinian hair salon owner. Not his worst, but still bad, if you find Sandler funny youll probably adore this, I pity you. (1/2*)
