Extreme Rules Match
Tommy Dreamer vs. Colin Delany
Delany wants no part of Dreamer to start and the ref rings the bell with Colin outside the ring. Delany tries to run away but trips and Dreamer catches him and whips him into a shopping cart and then introduces Colin to the ringsteps. Colin dodges a wild swing and rams Tommy into the ringpost. Colin stomps on Dreamer's hand and trys a diving trash can lid shot but is met with a singapore cane. Tommy lays in some cane shots and then gets a pump handle cane suplex, nice. Strike references Duke The Dumpster Droese while Dreamer puts Colin in the tree of Woe and gets a dropkick into a trash can into Colins face. Colin misses a second rope elbow drop and hits a trash can. Delany tries a sneaky pin for two and then attempts a flying elbow but crashes and burns. Dreamer then plants Delany with a DDT on a stop sign for the win.
Good fun opener. (*1/4)

Lena is with the Miz and Morrison, they tells her to wait for the crowd to stop booing and they go to clips from the Dirt Sheet's debut, its a nice video package. They laugh at how funny they are, Seth Rogan wishes he could do comedy that good, they're the Pinapple Express of the WWE. Miz says Matt and Mark will find out they are winners and there are losers, be jealous. Good Promo.
.
We go to the Smackdown rebound and it makes Edge look absolutely amazing.
.
Evan Bourne vs. Bam Neely
I've only seen Matt Sydal once since making his WWE debut but I hear he's been making waves. I never liked him in ROH he was to much of a spot monkey, albeit an incredibly spot monkey. In the slowly pace with more emphasis on the individual moves he should really shine.
Bam powers Bourne to the corner but Bourne flips it around on him an unloads. Bam runs into a big knee, he then rannas Bam into the bottom turnbuckle and then scores with a brutal spinning kick. Bam knocks Bourne off the top rope and he takes a might bump. Bam slugs away at Bourne. Bam gets the short arm closeline and Bourne does the oversell. Bam Neely gets a chinlock as Striker tells us some interesting facts and Todd joins in. Bourne tries a sunset flip but Bam goes for knee drop and misses. Bourne gets a low dropkick and a stiff kick. Bourne gets a high standing moonsault for two. Bourne goes for a Ranna but Bam blocks it and goes for a powerbomb but Bourne counters into a nice DDT and then he gets the Air Bourne (Big Shooting Star press) for the win.
Great showcase for Bourne he even made Bam look good. (*1/2)

Tiffany is with Teddy Long, Armando appears with his newly one contract and Teddy signs it making official. Armando wants to know who his first match is against and its Finlay and its next, holla, holla, holla.
.
Armando Estrada vs. Finlay (w/Hornswaggle)
Finlay unloads with an european uppercut and a short arm closeline. Finlay goes to a chinlock and an elbow to the shoulder. Finlay gets another hard short arm closeline for two. Finlay floors Armando with headbutt. Mike Knoxx appears on the entrance ramp. Finlay continues to beat the crap out of Estrada and he locks in the nerve pinch. Armando tries to fight up but Finlay takes him down with an pain killer. Finlay gets a shoulder charge in the corner, a body slam and a Vader bomb. Armando slingshots Finlay into the middle rope and begins dropping elbows. The crowd come to life but Armando locks in a chinlock to chill them out. "Let's Go Finlay" chant but Estrada drives him down and follows up with a closeline. Armando gets a snapmare into a chinlock. Armando runs into a boot and Finlay explodes with a closeline and the front roll move with Armando on his shoulders (the name escapes me I used to know it), Finlay gets the Celtic Cross (Striker correctly calls it Emerald Fusion, how cool is that) for the win. A small red headed child dances with Hornswaggle post match.
That was fine for what it was lot of chinlocks an such. (*)

Ricky Ortiz is with Teddy Long trying to sell his own brand of towels. Ricky wants everyone going wild with his towels. Ricky says he has a dude with 50, 000 towels ready to print and he's looking for a investor. Long says he needs to prove himself for a longer period so he says hell book him against a new wrestler next week. Tiffany plays with the towel when Ricky leaves because its fun apparently.
.
We get the slam of the week.
.
Mark Henry is backstage with Matt Hardy. Matt says he's not thrilled to be tagging with Mark Henry, he says he'd rather team with Lena Yada. Mark says the only reason Mark has him on his team is so that he can beat Miz and Morrison. Henry says he doesn't what Matt to stay out of his way, he wants Matt in his way, so he can run right through him, he dares him to get in his way and laughs. Quality line from Henry, Mark is in really good form at the moment.
.
The Miz & Morrison vs. Matt Hardy & Mark Henry (w/Tony Atlas)
Matt is way, way, way over in this match. Mark and Morrison start the match. John tries an arm bar but Mark just tosses him across the ring. Henry gives Morrison a Hard Irish whip and he brings Miz in hard. Henry whips the two heels into each other and gets a splash in the corner. Matt charges in and cleans house as we go to commercial.
[Ad Break]
Matt hits a body slam on Morrison and tags in Mark Henry. Henry slugs down Morrison. They show a highlight of Henry hitting a huge farewell. Matt tags back in and scores with a body slam but misses an elbow drop. Miz tags in and unloads but Matt comes right back with a corner closeline and a bulldog. They brawl to the outside and Miz kicks Matt hard into the steel steps at ringside. Miz applies a camel clutch as the crowd chant "Hardy". Hardy tries to fight out of the heel corner but Miz cuts him of with his diving corner closeline. Morrison comes in with a back breaker, side russian leg sweep combo. Morrison lays some knees into the the back of Hardy. Morrison runs into a back elbow and Matt scores with a second rope side effect for the win. Henry was going nuts on the apron! Morrison kicked out right after the three and even the commentators sold it like they didn't know.
Fine main Event, intriguing if dissapointing finish. (*1/4)
.
Post match Henry kills Miz and Morrison and raises Matt Hardy's hand and then scores with the World's Strongest Slam and laughs and celebrates shouting this is my house.
.
Overall Thoughts: Good hype show for summerslam, nothing incredibly but ECW is a really nicely put together and thoroughly enjoyable show. Mark Henry is an absolutely revelation as a leader heel. He's just an old school bad arse. The thing that really lets ECW down is the recap stuff, a smackdown Rebound, a Raw Recap and a run down of the Summerslam card. If they got rid of that they'd have a really good show on there hands. A fun forty minutes of action.
