Charlton Athletic vs. Swansea F.C
So the football season start you look out the window and hope the ground will be wonderful light to herald in the new season you hope to see the pitch looking the best you will see it all season yes this is the start of the football league season the hopes and expectations building up in side you. except it wasnt that sunny and the pitch has been in better shape.

Pre match it was announced that charlton had sigend bouzza from Fulham on loan he would come on later in the match.

It was one of those games i thought that unless we score early swansea would make in incredibly hard for us to break them down, with them wanting to impress at a former premier league team. Charltons line up was as predicted by many fans, with Mark Hudson being fit enough to be able to play in the match and arent we glad he was fit enough to play ! ( and not just for the fact Amdy Faye may have to play) as after 3 mins into the season Charlton won a corner and shockingly took the lead from it with a towering header from Mark Hudson as he ran into the 6 yard box to power it past the Swansea keeper, This helped us a hello of a lot as Swansea began having to attack and look for a goal and as a result began playing some nice looking attacking football, but not really producing much in terms of clear cut chances they only seemed limited to long range shoots in the hope that the wet surface may cause an error for Weaver. The next main action point occured in the 2nd half when Gary Monk ( i remember him from cm 97-98 as a 15 year old free agent ) managed to get him self a 2nd yellow card for a tackle on Matt Mattitude Holland which proberbly was the correct decision, as a result Swansea began to have little options up front and then they brought on another Fm hero of mine Fabein Brandy who did little with the game coming to a close charlton got another corner and Andy Gray managed to head it in to create 2 goals from set peices. Luke Varney could have got a 3rd late on but the keeper closed him down.

Charltons man of the match - Tough one this Mark Hudson got the first goal and managed to organise the defence so much so that Fortunes errors werent that damging for us. Luke Varney worked hard all the way through out the match closing down players and chasing the ball but ive got to give it to the debutant captain Mark Hudosn.

About this blog

This is your one stop shop of pop culture reviews I most specialize in Music, Politics & Film. I occasionally delve into TV reviews. I've got a Politics MA and a War Studies BA, I'm taking a year out before starting a Phd so when it comes to History and Politics I'm pretty well versed but I tend to keep this blog fun rather than serious.
