Plot Summary: Another comic book adaption, Welsey Gibson is stuck in a dead end job, with a girl friend who cheats on him with his best friend with no no money in the bank. Until he is recruited into a legendary fraternity of assasins to track down and kill the man who killed his father.
Review: The mind boggles at how ludirious, contrived and convoluted this film is. Your eyes will role and you will have to substantial suspend your disbelief. However once you've managed to switch or brain of you'll find a fast paced, entertaining action movie that'll have you shouting fuck yeah, or at least thinking it. However the film is overly long by about fifteen minutes and when Morgan Freeman is talking you'll find it incredibly mind numbing. Luckily the finish to the film is incredibly strong and there are enough big set peices to overide the films weakness and make this an enjoyable popcorn romp. It adequately continues the action renaisance kicked started by Mission Impossible III but doesn't compete with the likes of Crank, Shoot 'Em Up or Die Hard 4.0. And it must be said that Angelina Jolie looks insanely hot with blood running down the side of her face, I don't know why, she just does. (**1/2).

About this blog

This is your one stop shop of pop culture reviews I most specialize in Music, Politics & Film. I occasionally delve into TV reviews. I've got a Politics MA and a War Studies BA, I'm taking a year out before starting a Phd so when it comes to History and Politics I'm pretty well versed but I tend to keep this blog fun rather than serious.
