We open with a video package showing highlights of earlier seasons with 16 guys and Dana White saying he's fed up with people dicking around who don't deserve to be here. The voice over says The Ultimate Fighter Season Seven "Tthings Are Going To Change".

The guys come into the room, first sixteen and they look around and they are happy but are suddenly shocked when another sixteen guys appear through the door. They are shocked and unhappy. They then do a great job of introducing Forrest and Rampage and making them look great.

Dana says he's sick of all the posers and faggots who come here not ready to go, this year they are fighting there way onto the show. No fucking around, you have to earn your way onto the show. Rampage says "some of them shit themselves, I smelt it".

Some of the guys look less confident than others, they concentrate on making weight, one guy talks about having sold his house and cars anticipating being on this show for weeks and now he finds out he might go home in 48 hours. We then go to the weigh in and these guys have had to drop massive weigh in a single day. Both coaches are really charismatic this year, Forrest says he's looking for guys who are uglier than him this year.

Elimination Fight
Prince McLean (5-4) vs. Mike Dolce (4-4) - Middleweight

Pre Match Hype:
Dolce is confident, Prince is coming off a four match losing streak. Dolce sounds like he's ready to kill.

Round One: Dolce catches a boot and tags Prince sending him onto his arse. It wasn't a big shot and both men wrestle to their feet where Dolce hits a big side belly to belly suplex and gets side control. Rampage likes Prince's personality, Prince wrestles his way out and Dolice hits a big inside right and Dolce hits a monster right hook knocking Prince spark out. The referee did a good job of breaking it up before it got ugly.

These guys looked quite ammatuerish, Dolce was ready to kill and it showed with a knock down, a big suplex and then the monster right hook, fun short fight. (D)

Rampage doesn't want Dolce because he stinks, after the fight Prince is in absolute tears its the first time he's ever been knocked out.

Cale Yarbrough (0-0) vs. John Clarke (6-2) - Middleweight

Round One:
Cale goes for a big round house and misses, both guys feel each other out, John gets a takedown and Forrest isn't impressed calling it garbage. Clarke gets some blows to gut and laying down some big elbow strikes. John gets side controle but can't get the camora but does get a crucifix and clubs down Cale and rolls into a back mount. Cale manages to fight up but gets German suplexed but Cale manages to get inside his guard. Clarke rolls into a an cross arm bar but Cale somehow manages to escape. Cale gets to his feet. Clarke is completely gassed and Cale manages to pound out a victory.

Not a great fight but it had some interesting mat exchanges and some close near submissions, the finish was a real dissapointment as Clarke got gassed he had to cut 17 POUNDS IN ONE DAY to make weight the previous day and it showed. Cale looks horrible. (D-)

Amir Sadollah (0-0) vs. Steve Byrnes (6-1) - Middleweight

Round One:
Amir gets a couple of kicks to the gut and Steve goes for a takedown but Amir defends well before finally gettting takedown. Amir shows good defence on the ground getting full guard and hitting a nice elbow strike. Steve has to really work to get past Amir's guard. Amir defends some elbow strikes. Amir does a great job of reversing and getting a mount of his own. Amir avoids a arm bar by lifting Byrnes and dropping him on his face. Amir gets in a triangle positions and hits some hard elbow strikes. Rampage shouts "get your face out of his nuts", both men hits some big strikes to end the round. Good ground and pound round.

Round Two: Amir goes for a high kick but its missed and we get a bad takedown. Steve goes for an arm bar but Amir elbows and knees his way out. Amire hits a straight right and a big knee and Steve is totally gassed. Steve goes for the amuplatu but ends up in a half mount and drops some vicious elbows. Amir loses mount but gets an arm breaker to get the win. Amir jumps on the cage but falls off it in one of the funniest celebratons ever.

Good fight, some really entertaining wrestling, back and forth really allover the place a goofy, Amir has a lot to learn but he does have skills. (D)

We then go to some fight highlights and we see CB Dolloway absolutely killing his opponent, that looked brutal. We then see Dante showing some great power before getting an against the cage Camora. We then Nick Klein getting a head on triangle choke. We then see a wrestler who takes a guy down and holds him down for ten minutes.

We then see Rampage and his mate Roberts training together, they've been best friends since they were kids.

Jeremy May (6-5) vs. Dave Roberts (4-5) - Middleweight

Round One: Roberts gets a pair of leg kicks, they then trade leg kicks, Roberts looks so nervous, May pounds the hell out of him but Roberts takes it and gets a single leg takedown but May catches him with an arm bar and Roberts has to tap out immediately.

Roberts was not in May's league, Roberts looks like a total bum. (E)

We then see Roberts and Rampage talking together after their loss and both guys are very emotional.

Overall Thoughts: Good show, Rampage and Forrest are really making this show great, there so goofy and entertaining. The fights this week were kind of what you'd expect, other than Dolloway no one really stood out as a great fighter. Alot of fun. (7/10)

About this blog

This is your one stop shop of pop culture reviews I most specialize in Music, Politics & Film. I occasionally delve into TV reviews. I've got a Politics MA and a War Studies BA, I'm taking a year out before starting a Phd so when it comes to History and Politics I'm pretty well versed but I tend to keep this blog fun rather than serious.
