ROH Northern Navigation

Larry Sweeney is laughing because Adam Pearce is suspended? He says its a good thing as Adam with be resting and relaxing on a beach somewhere and Brent Albright isn’t hear either his face is still burned.

Rhett Titus then says he’s going to bring love to each and every lady in to Toronto before giving a certain lady in the ROH lockeroom another load of Rhett Titus, the boys in the lockeroom don’t believe he got with Daizee so he shows them the video and they are all kinds of impressed.

Chris Hero, Larry Sweeney, Shane Hagadorn and Bobby Dempsey are in the ring. Sweeney says that Sweet and Sour Inc. Is now open for business north of the border but he says everything in Canada is inferior and ask the crowd to rise and give thanks to Goerge W. Bush.

Chris Hero vs. Ruckus

Hero jumps Ruckus to start the match and lays the boots in before hitting the roaring elbow for a near fall. Hero then lays in some big elbow strikes on Ruckus. The crowd chant for “Bobby Dempsey” so Hero tells him to get under the ring. Hero then hits a knife edged chop before running into a back flip Japanese arm drag and then a regular arm drag. Ruckus floats over Hero onto the apron but Hero immediately kills him with a roaring elbow sending Ruckus flying into the guard rail. Hero drags Ruckus back into the ring for a two count.

Hero lays in some boots on Ruckus while Sweeney talks smack. The crowd chant “Chris Is Awesome” as he misses a big boot and Ruckus scores with a ranna for a two count. Ruckus counters a back drop with a sunset flip but Hero rolls though with leaping big boot for a two count. Hero applies a chin lock but Ruckus escapes and scores with a pele sending Hero out of the ring. Ruckus slowly follows up with a front flip Plancha and he rolls Hero back into the ring.

Hagadorn tries to attack Ruckus but Ruckus cleverly counters so he ends up stunnering Hero. Ruckus gets the handspring elbow and an awesome backslide for a near fall. Hero recovers with a combination of roaring elbows and a brutal big boot for the 1-2-3.

Fine opening contest achieved everything it needed to achieve without overstaying its welcome. (**)

Rhett Titus is backstage and he says his video is the best video in the world and he says he’s gonna show the best in the world. Danielson is stretching and says he’ll take a look, Danielson asks if that’s who he thinks it is, Rhett tells him it is, and Danielson says your a sad, sad little man and he pities Rhett.

Kenny Omega vs. Delirious

They lock up after Delirious’s usual silliness, Omega gets a headlock take down and wrenches away at the neck before Delirious counters with a headscissors and Omega kips up, they then trade arm drags and pin fall attempts before we have a stand off and a handshake. Delirious tricks Omega into a leg trip and then works on the leg and drops the an elbow on the leg. Omega gets a shoulder tackle but Delrious replies with a headlock takedown, a samoan slam and a senton back splash for two. Delirious runs into a European uppercut but Omega flips up over and around Delirious before scoring with a flipping dropkick for a near fall. Omega then gets a snapmare and a dropkick to the back of the head for a two count. Omega then locks in a chinlock, Delirious quickly fights out and scores with two closelines before Omega shouts stop and hits enzenguri and then a big boot sending Delirious off the apron into the front row.

Omega goes for a plancha but Delirious counters with a leaping headbutt in a cool spot. Delirious scores with a top rope flying lariat and plays to the crowd. Delirious gets a strike combination and Omega tries the stop thing again but Delirous bitch slaps him. Omega flips over a back suplex but Delirious goes for the Cobra stretch but Omega blocks and hits a leaping forearm in the corner and a leaping Rocker Dropper. Omega charges into a pair of boots and a dropkick sends Omega crashing into the corner of the ring and Delirious hits the panic attack. Omega cleverly counters the Shadow’s Over Hell by turning over and getting his knees up. Omega hits a lovely electric hair German supple for a very near fall and then goes for a big Street Fighter Strike but Delirious blocks, Kenny tries a Full Nelson slam but its countered into the Cobra Stretch and Omega has to tap.

Another very impressive effort from Omega, he’s very corny but he’s definitely got skill, the nearfalls at the end were very convincing and this was very nice surprise with some unique counters thrown in. (**3/4)

Jennifer Blake vs. Sara Del Ray

Sara throws her ring jacket at Blake and hits a dropkick. Del Ray then chokes Blake with the jacket and throws her across the ring. Del Ray lays the boots in on Blake in the corner. Del Ray hits a big head butt and but runs into a back elbow and Blake scores with the flying head scissors. Del Ray counters a sunset flip lifting Blake by her throat and throwing Blake hard into the corner. “We hat Sara” chat rings out, Blake dodges a blind charge and gets some rapid fire knife edge chops in the corner in Kobashi style. Blake then hits a super kick and hits a botched suicide dive. Back in the ring, Blake goes up top and totally botches a cross body coming up miles short but Sara thought fast and hit a big boot to counter and finishes the match with a an axe kick.

Two botches from Blake but she had good energy and this was fun for what it was. (3/4*)

Larry tells Sara to break Jennifer Blake’s neck and Sara puts her in an awesome gory special dragon sleeper combo. Daizee Haze runs out and makes the save with a running Yakuza kick. Sweeney hates being in the this country and tells Go to get out here for his match because the faster they get it over and done with the faster they can leave.

Go Shiozaki vs. Erik Stevens

Go decides to shake the referees hand instead of Stevens’. Go misses one of his big chops in the corner and Stevens says its not gonna happen. Go dodges one of Stevens chops and makes fun of Stevens. Steven dodges another chop and hits a shoulderblock but no bodies going down. Go runs through a chop gets up a head of steam and floors Stevens with a shoulder block. Go runs right into an overhead belly to belly suplex and bails. Stevens won’t slow down and follows Go to the outside and whips him into the guard rails before introducing Go to the ring post.

Stevens returns to the ring and hits a snapmare and lays some big elbow strikes to the chest of Go. Stevens scores with a side Russian legsweep and locks in a body scissors, Go tries to chop his way out but doesn’t have much luck and Stevens rolls Go over for a pair of two count. Go and Stevens exchange a pair of stiff strikes before Stevens calls for the Choo Choo. Go avoids it and hits a bit chop and then the brutal tree of woe chop. Go takes Stevens to the other corner and lays in a monstrous chop and Stevens replies in kind. Larry Sweeney then lays in a cheap shot as Go distracts the referee. Go lays the boots in on Stevens before hitting a running knee strike and Sweeney laughs in Stevens face. Go body slams Stevens on the floor and drops a knee before whipping Stevens over the barricade and into the front row. Go and Stevens exchange bitch slaps in the front row and Go rather conclusively wins. Go lays Stevens across the apron and pounds away on the back before hitting the running knee strike for a near fall.

Go applies a chinlock to the thrill of Randy Orton whose watching a DvD but only Randy, well maybe Cena two. Stevens fights out but Go locks on a dragon sleeper, Stevens manages to make the ropes quickly and Stevens kicks out of a high knee drop at two. Go locks on yet another chinlock but Stevens fights out with a big chop and Go runs into a boot. Stevens tries to come off the second rope but he’s met with a dropkick. Go takes Stevens onto the arpon and goes for a suplex but Stevens blocks. Go tries a German suplex but that’s blocked too, Stevens drops off the apron sweeps the legs and gives go a big chop to the chest.

Stevens returns to the ring and comes of the second rope with a flying shoulder tackle and a back body drop. Stevens scores with the Choo Choo and the running Samoan drop for a two count. Go returns fire with a big chop leading to a chop battle. Stevens tries to counter a superkick to a single leg powerbomb but Go counters with a chop to the skull and then a lethal superkick before scoring with the fisherman’s buster for a near fall. Go locks in a Dragon sleeper and Stevens fades but can’t come back as Go steps over into the camel clutch hybrid Dragon sleeper. One minute to go. Go goes for the moonsault but Stevens catches him and goes for the top rope doctor bomb but Go blocks and scores with a not so super superkick as the time limit expires.

Well that was pretty darn good for a fifteen minute match with no finish, I’d definitely like to have seen it go another five minutes but the post match angle more than made up for it. (***)

The crowd chant for “Five More Minutes” but the official decision is announced as a time limit draw and the crowd chant “bull shit”. Larry Sweeney proclaims Go the winner. Stevens gets on the mike and demands Five More Minutes, the crowd then promptly starts the chant. Sweeney gets on the mike and asks the crowd wants five more minutes. Sweeney informs the crowd that he was only paid to wrestle for 15 minutes and if they want him to wrestle they have to pay ten dollars a pop each so get a collection plate or we are out of here. The crowd chant “Fuck You Sweeney” as Lance appears to a huge baby face reaction. He wants to be serious for a minute, Storm says he didn’t come here tonight to hear Sweeney whine about not getting enough money, he came to see the best lockeroom in the business bust their arses, Storm says ROH is about leaving it the ring. Storm says if its all about the money there are plenty of companies in the states that will let you kiss arse all the way up the ladder. Sweeney says he’s a fan of Storms and plays for time and Hero sneak attacks Storm, Sweeney is on the mike and ask Storm how dare he come out here during when Larry Sweeney is speaking. Storm and Stevens lock Hero and Go in simultaneous maple leafs and Stevens rolls Hagadorn back into the ring to get killed by a superkick.

Kenny Omega says how much he enjoyed it here in Canada getting a shot in ROH and he’s a bit disappointed he lost but thought he did well, isn’t that nice. Rhett Titus then appears to show him the video, Omega says he’s feels guilty watching that but he’ll keep it to himself.

Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli

The crowd seem rather split as the two men shake hands. Claudio gives Danielson a clean break and plays to the crowd. Danielson grabs a side headlock takedown but Claudio counters with the headscissors but Dragon counters into a Bow and Arrow lock but Claudio blocks and counters to an arm bar. Bryan responds by countering a headlock takeover into a headscissor, Danielson the bridges up and both men block each other on Backslide attempts. Danielson gets a wrist lock takedown and wrenches away at Claudio’s arm, both men exchange reversals before Claudio gets a double leg trip but Dragon spins him off and Claudio cartwheels to his feet. Leading to a stand off.

They go to a test of strength and Claudio takes him down and they do the bridge and Monkey flip spot but this time Claudio counters and gets a monkey flip of his own and they then go to a brilliant double bridging spot and then Danielson goes for the leg and Claudio spins Dragon off for a stand off. Huge “This is Awesome” chant, that was indeed very very good.

Claudio counters a waist lock by grabbing hold of a leg lock and working over Danielson but Danielson grabs a next vice but fails to break the hold. Danielson manages to roll the hold over and looks for the arm bar of Doom but Claudio blocks and Dragon goes for Cattle mutilation but Claudio scrambles to the ropes. Then they block each others hip toss attempts, Danielson flips over Claudio but still can’t score with a hip toss and they have to break in the ropes. The crowd boo when Claudio says he has until five and cheer when Danielson does it. Claudio uses the distraction to grab a headlock and then scores with a pair of shoulder tackles. Dragon then leapfrogs Claudio and gets a hip toss and cross Key lock breaker for a lack of a better term, or Figure Four Arm Bar. Claudio Powers Dragon up into the air above his head but Dragon rolls through to the mat and back into the arm lock and the crowd chant “tap, tap, tap”. Claudio tries to power up a second time and this time he scores with a big back suplex.

Claudio hits a neck breaker over the knee for a two count and then applies an interesting surfboard variant and then a nice surfboard pin for a nearfall, that was very nice. Claudio hits a pair of big forearms to the injured back off Danielson. Danielson hits a European uppercut but Claudio returns fire and floors Dragon for a nearfall. Claudio goes for the Woah Woah Woah surfboard but Dragon tries to crawl to the rope, Claudio uses a chinlock before trying the Woahs again but Dragon then fights and makes the ropes. Claudio hits a big slug to the back and then Claudio locks in the torture rack and then a rack back breaker for a two count. The crowd really come to life but Claudio its a European uppercut and Dragon replies with a crescent kick and both men are dwon.

Dragon dodges a blind charge and hits a monstrous forearm in the corner and a kitchen sink before hitting a basement dropkick to the head in the corner for a two count. Dragon then hits the Woah Woah Woah Woah surfboard chinlock combo and then turns it into a backslide for a near fall. Dragon back flips over Claudio and hits a brilliant diving closeline. Sending Claudio to the floor, Dragon immediately follows up with a suicide dive and then throws Claudio back into the ring. Dragon works the crowd and goes for the torpedo dropkick but its countered into the Giant Swing with twenty rotations and then hits a diving European uppercut for a nearfall. Danielson slides under the Ricolla Bomb and then counters the Waterslide into the cross arm breaker in brilliant fashion. Claudio rolls Dragon up for two but Dragon counters into Cattle Mutilation but Claudio quickly makes the ropes.

Dragon is looking like he means business and goes for the elbow strikes but Claudio breaks at seven, Dragon flips over a German suplex but runs straight into a pump kick for a nearfall. Dragon counters the RIcolla Bomb into a victory roll and gets a very nearfall and that leads to a pinfall exchange. Both men then have a European uppercut which Claudio wins and goes for the pop up European but Dragon counters it sublimely into a backslide for the 1-2-3.

I’m in agreement with the crowd an awesome match they played brilliantly off there previous encounter at Vendetta II, that match was more of a fun exhibition but it set up the brilliant counters and creative sequences in this match to a tee. You still get the feeling that they weren’t working at full pace and it would seem that that match, if we ever get to see it, would be frighteningly good. This was an epic crowd pleaser and had told a nice story of two friends trying to out wrestle each other. (****)

Bryan Danielson talks about ROH’s journey and thanks the crowd and even brings a fan into the ring and has a lot of fun making sure that everyone knows Ring Of Honor appreciates that they all came out here tonight.

Rhett Titus comes to the ring running through his usual shtick but Daizee comes out and tells him to drop the act. Rhett Titus says he’s been there and done that before Sara Del Ray sneak attacks Daizee. Larry Sweeney tells Sara to kill her and then tells Titus if he values his future in this industry he wants no part of this. Titus then dances his way up the ramp. Delirious runs out and makes the save, he won’t hit Sara but instead dives on top of Daizee and absorbs the axe kick as Larry Sweeney laughs away.

Naomanchi Marufugi vs. Roderick Strong

Strong and Marufugi exchange some huge chops before Marufugi goes for a superkick but Strong dodges and bails. Marufugi gets a leg trip and a deathlock before Strong counters into an arm bark but Marufugi responds with a leg trip and gets a single leg, Strong reserses into a roll up for to but Marufugi counters into a brutal surfboard style stretcher and Strong has to make the ropes with his mouth. Marufugi then dodges a chop and hits a basement dropkick to the knee and then one to the face before getting seven one counts in a row. Marufugi gets a cravat and then a snapmare and the double boots to the eyes and then the tornado neck twist. Marufugi chokes Roderick on the second rope and then hits the running basement dropkick from the floor to the side of Roderick’s head.

Marufugi then locks his leg hook and cravat hold but Strong counters with a side walk slam. Marufugi maintains control and stands on Roderick’s face in the corner. Roderick counters a diving reverse elbow with a front back suplex and then a traditional back breaker for two. Strong follows that up with a nice over the shoulder back breaker and then slaps on a waist lock. Marufugi fights out but is met with a leaping leg lariat for a two count. Strong then hits a vertical suplex for a two count and then reapplies the waist lock. Marufugi nearly makes the rope but Strong counters into a double chicken wing and Marufugi has to use his face to make the ropes.

Marufugi comes back with a sunset flip for two and then Russian legsweeps Strong into the turnbuckle before hitting the leaping reverse elbow and then the running reverse knee strike into the turnbuckle. Marufugi then hits his rope running spot and turns Strong inside out with a lariat for a near fall. Marufugi hits the code breaker but only gets a nearfall. Roderick avoids the Sliced Bread and then counters the superkick into a gargoyle back breaker for a near fall. Strong hits a superplex but Marufugi no sells, and tries the rope runner but Strong dodges the closeline and hits the most brutal diving Yakuza kick imaginable for a 2.999.

Neither man can take the other down with Lariats, Strong hits a huge chop and Marufugi responds by taking Strong’s head off with a superkick. Marufugi hits an enzenguri but Strong blocks the Sliced Bread so Marufugi gets a standing switch and hangs Roderick in the tree of Woe before hitting the coast to coast dropkick for a very very very near fall. Strong comes back with a chin breaker, the gut buster and then the half nelson back breaker for a very near fall. Strong then locks in the Strong hold, the crowd chant “Please Don’t Tap” but Marufugi crawls and makes the ropes. Marufugi blocks a Gibson Driver, Strong blocks one, and then Strong goes for it a second time but Marufugi gets a ranna, and hits a curb stomp and superkick for a near fall! Strong hits the Gibson Driver for a 2.99999. Marufugi counters the Strong hold with into a roll up for two and then hits a spinning back kick and a Tiger Neck Breaker for a near fall. Marufugi goes for the superkick Strong prepares to block but its a fake and Marufugi kills Strong with a left footed roundhouse kick and the Sliced Bread Number Two gets the 1-2-3.

Tricky one to rate as for the first half Roderick just wasn’t on form, he was executing his moves well but he’s just terrible as a babyface, his expression are horrible and unless he’s being a prick its just impossible to take him seriously. Marufugi is very good but he seems to effortless at times but he was superbly crisp throughout this match. The grabbing of a waist lock part was through wasn’t particularly thrilling but the second half just kicked into to overdrive and was absolutely superb. Very convincing nearfalls and the finish was very clever with the fake superkick. There were some sutble touches with both men having to use their mouths to make the ropes. Marufugi’s ability to effortlessly steal the show is remarkable I’ve never seen anything quite like it. (***1/2)

ROH World Title

Kevin Steen vs. Nigel McGuiness

They lock up and Steen gives Nigel a clean break in the ropes but gives him a snot rocket for fun. Nigel grabs a side headlock and then a key lock. Nigel gives Steen a clean break and reminds the referee that he has until five. Nigel takes Steen down with a hammerlock and applies a hammerlock arm bar and fish hook combination. Steen gets a leg trip and a toe hold. Nigel counters nicely into a arm bar where he traps the arm with his leg. Steen tries to fire back with a chop but Nigel cuts him off with a throat thrust. Nigel fires with forearms but Steen hits back and Nigel goes for the Jaw Breaker but Steen nonchalantly walks away. Steen then makes fun of Nigel playing to the crowd.

Steen gets a double chop to the chest and takes Nigel to the outside and lays in some chops, even throwing the Canadian flap at Nigel. Steen then whips Nigel into the steel barricade. Steen again takes Nigel and whips him into a different part of the barricade. Steen tries to leap off the barricade but Nigel press slams Steen off back first into the ring apron. That was an absolutely brutal spot and the crowd start another round of “Fuck You Nigel” chants. Nigel whips Steen back first into the guard rail and mocks the crowd.

Nigel rolls Steen back into the ring and mockingly kicks and chops away at Steen. Nigel keeps on the offensive with a spinal tap and then mocks Steen before dropping a knee. Nigel then applies his bridging hammerlock and arm bar combo. Steen rolls out and counters to the sharp shooter but Nigel scrambles to the ropes before it can be locked in and he rakes Steen’s eyes to buy time. Nigel then hits a hard Irish whip for a two count. Nigel is mocking Steen and taking his time standing on Steens neck before laying in some European uppercuts on Steen. Nigel bitch slaps Steen.

Nigel applies a bow and arrow style chinlock and then changes it up to a bow and arrow surfboard, Steen frees his legs so Nigel switches it up to a body scissors. Steen looks like coming back but is cut off with a lariat for a two count. Nigel tosses Steen to the outside and works over his back on the apron and then hits Steen in the back with the time keeper’s bell. Nigel won’t let up and he sends Steen for a backflip into the guard rail before mocking the crowd. Nigel then gives Steen a seat and hits him with a running European uppercut.

The crowd give Steen motivation and he begins to unload on Nigel but Nigel responds by introducing Steen to a steel chair. Back in the ring Steen kicks out at two. Nigel hits the head of Steam European uppercut but Steen dodges the lariat and hits a flying forearm. Steen unloads with some haymakers and slugs and kicks the crap out of Nigel in the corner before hitting the cannon ball in the corner for a two count. Nigel sends Steen into the turnbuckle with a hammerlock but Steen just springs out with a lariat for a two count. Nigel counters the package piledriver with a leg trip but is shot off a figure four and into a pop up powerbomb for a nearfall. Steen plays to the crowd and heads to the top rope. Nigel catches Steen ontop but Steen counters the tower of London into the Sharpshooter but Nigel immediately makes the ropes.

Nigel drags Steen through the ropes and hits the Tower Of London to the outside, another really brutal bump there from Steen. Nigel rolls back into the ring and gets a near fall. Nigel gets up a head of steam but runs into a boot but it doesn’t matter as Nigel explodes with a lariat for a near fall. Nigel avoids a blind charge and hits the back kick and closeline combination. Nigel tells the crowd to go fuck themselves and he hits the Tower Of London one more time for a near fall. Nigel locks Steen in the sharpshooter but Steen manages to make the ropes.

Nigel crotches Steen on the top rope but Steen dodges and shoves Nigel off top to the outside. Steen then hits a springboard front flip plancha onto Nigel, now that was a big spot. Steen rolls Nigel back in and goes up top, but he eats knees on the swanton bomb. Steen gets a double leg trip and locks in the sharp shooter, Nigel crawls but Steen pulls him back to the centre. But Eventually Nigel makes the ropes. Steen no sells a lariat and hits a superkick and the pump handle back breaker for a 2.9999. Steen goes for the moonsault but Nigel rolls out of the way. Steen meets the Jaw Breaker with a lariat and the hits the Package Piledriver for an ultra near fall. Steen scores with a closeline for a two count. Nigel flips over a package Piledriver and hits a big lariat for a near fall. Nigel then hits the short arm lariat for a near fall. Steen hits Nigel with a bitch slap but Nigel responds with a lightening combination for about twenty bitch slaps and hits the Jaw Breaker Lariat for a 2.99999! The crowd are stunned, Steen counters a lariat with a small package for a near fall. Nigel hits a big lariat and instead of going for the pin crotches Steen and hits the second rope diving lariat for the 1-2-3.

Very good match, was slow and plodding in places but had some hugely big a dramatic spots with Steen going all out with three huge perfectly executed sick bumps. The near falls at the end were classic Nigel and very very good, the crowd were going bananas when Steen hit the package piledriver. The good in this match made up for the mediocre chunks good but no great. (***3/4)

Daizee cuts a promo and is interrupted by a toilet flush, Ruckus then looks her up and down and says “Daizee Haze Nice”, she looks disgusted and wonders what’s going on.

No DQ Match

Jay Briscoe & Austin Aries vs. The Age Of The Fall

Big brawl to start and Jay hits a plancha onto Tyler Black and follows that up by whipping him into the guard rail. As Aries and Jacobs brawl Black rams Jay back first into the apron. Jay back body drops Black on the outside as Aries hits a flying axe handle off top to the outside. Jacobs then whips Aries into the guard rail and he goes crashing into the crowd. Jay reverses a whip and its Black’s turn to go flying into the crowd. Aries hits an axe handle off the guard rail and then an elbow drop off the guard rail, followed by a double stomp to the eyes.

They all return to the ring and Aries and Jay go for double ten punches when then Necro Butcher runs out and gives everyone big foot. The Age Of The Fall now have control and work over Aries and Jay. Black plays to the crowd as Aries is tossed to the outside. The Age of the Fall have Jay set up for the torture rack and senton combination when Mark Briscoe runs from the back and crotches Jacobs. He then hits a slingshot karate kick on Necro Butcher and back flips over a back body drop attempt and kills Black with a superkick. Super hot suprise return. Mark then hits a big spinebuster on Jacobs.

Mark and Jay hit corner closelines on Necro then a facewash basement dropkick combination. Jay and Mark then kill the Necro Butcher with a double shoulder tackle. Jacobs kills Aries with a chair on the outside and gives him a seat. Black then death valley drivers Jay into the audience. Jacobs then goes for the corkscrew plancha but Aries moves out the way and Jimmy is crushed into the chair. Jay throws a chair at Necro in the crowd as Austin Aries hits the heat seeking missile at ringside.

Mark hits Black with a moonsault off the guard rail. Jay and Necro hit each other in the head with chairs and road signs. Aries throws Jacobs into the front row. Mark hip tosses Black over the guard rail to ringside and then follows up by throwing a chair at him. Jay then throws three chairs at Necro and Jacobs takes a fans cell phone and hits Aries with it.

Back in the ring the Briscoes hit their huge double hip toss and then the back breaker slingshot knee drop combination. It looks like the Briscoes have the 1-2-3 but Necro destroys the ref with a chair. Mark unloads on Necro with his Karate combo but Necro covers up, Mark waits and then strikes Necro down with the chop. Mark then hits a chair assisted basement dropkick on Necro.

Mark puts Necro on a table but Necro recovers and throws a chair at Mark hitting him in the ribs and then hits a brutal bulldog from the apron through a table, that looked painful for Mark. Mark is now selling the arm and its helped to back. Jay is bloodied and the Age of the Fall work him over. Necro hits the chair assisted body slam as the crowd chant “We want Dragon”. Jacobs bites away at the skull of Jay as the crowd chant “you sick fuck”, Necro and Jacobs then simultaneous bite the wound of Jay.

The Age of the Fall all three of them pound down on Jay at once but Aries dives in to make the save. The Age of the Fall set up a chair between the top and middle ropes and then Jacobs and Necro throw Aries face first into the chair. Jay uses his speed to dodge Necro and then hits a lovely diving closeline taking himself and Black to the outside in a tremendous bump. Jacobs tells Necro to get a shard of the table and he demands that Necro takes Aries’s eye and urn his keep. Jay drives in and takes out Jacobs and Aries gets on the mike and says it that how he talks to you? Aries hits a brutal corner dropkick and then Jay follows up with the Yakuza kick and Jacobs is bleeding hugely from the mouth. Black makes the save and Peles Aries off the ring apron, Jay tries the Jay Driller on Black but he reverses and scores with the F-5 for a near fall.

Jay counters a closeline into a flatlener onto the middle turn buckle. Jay charges but Jimmy locks him in the end time. Jay fades but Aries comes in with a kick of death and a brainbuster. Aries goes up top but Black leaps up and catches him. It looks like Black with get a superplex but Jay runs in and puts Black in the electric chair position, they then hit the Doomsday Device followed in quick succession with the Jay Driller for the 1-2-3.

This was a good wild brawl in a seemingly never ending run of them in this feud. This one was very good and well executed but from a wrestling point of view wasn’t a strong or dynamic as some of the earlier Briscoe-AotF efforts. However this match had two big angles going for it the suprise return of Mark Briscoe and the Necro Butcher refusing Jimmy Jacobs orders. The crowd were hot for the whole match and it was another big crowd pleaser if not a stand out match up.(***3/4)

Overall Thoughts: Good show, it didn’t have any stand out match of the year contenders on the card but it did maintain a very high standard of exciting crowd pleasing action throughout and was very well paced. Definitely recommendation, not an essential show but a strong three hours of rasslin’. (7.5/10)
