We're finally here the final disk, the final three hours of a twelve hour set. So far we are without a single four star match, which is pretty damning of a FOUR disk set but I actually took a cheeky peak at the match listing for this disk and I see the names Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle so we my finally get the match quality on this disk.
Chapter Twenty Three: Tree Climbing
Jeff Jarrett says you have to "crawl, walk, run before you can sprint". Jeff says you can't just go straight for your dream you have to set up a series of goals and objectives to go at one at a time to reach your dream.
Booker says that its very important that TNA features young guys which young people want to pay to see and to be like. Booker says this is more important than blowing loads of money on big stars, Really Booker? Actually I believe he belives that but does that represent TNA?
Jeff compares wrestling promoting, to climbing a tree, you have to step back and look at the tree and figure out how your gonna climb it step by step. Jeff says by the time your half way there you'll be amazed how many people you've passed.
NWA World Heavyweight Title
King of the Mountain Match
Jeff Jarrett vs. Ron Killings vs. Sting vs. Abyss vs. Christian Cage
The crowd seem to behind Christian Cage as the bell rings. The action spills to the outside and Cage hits a flying axe handle to the outside onto Abyss. Ron flips and dances before hitting a leg lariat, he's asks What's up before scoring with the spiraling forearm. Cage and Killings hit a double hip toss on Jarrett. Cage makes fun of Killings dancing so R-Truth kills him with a superkick, Cage responds by tossing Killings like a bitch. Cage then closelines Jarrett over the top rope and then follows up with a flying body press off top to the outside.
In the ring, Sting and Truth work together on Abyss, Truth hits an axe kick before Sting signals for Killings to leap and Truth obligdes with a corkscrew plancha onto everyone at ringside. Sting follows up with a flying crossbody off the top of the Penalty box onto everyone. Sting hits a Stinger splash and Truth hits a torpedo dropkick on Jeff Jarrett for the 1-2-3. Truth is elligable, Jarrett is in the penalty box.
Sting throws Jeff into the penalty box before Abys thows Sting through the penalty box door. Three tables have been set up at ringside. Cage then hits the see saw spot over the top rope with a ladder onto Truth. In the ring Abyss tries a military press but Cage counters into a roll up for the 1-2-3. Abyss is pissed off and closelines Cage. Cage is Elligable, Abyss is in the penalty box, Jeff Jarrett is released.
Jeff talks about working with Abyss as Sting hits a dropkick on Truth. Jarrett throws Cage into a ladder before drilling Cage in the ribs with the ladder. Sting hits a body slam and elbow drop on Truth in the ring while Jarrett sandwiche Cage in the ladder. Jeff has the ladder crushing down on Cage's throat. Sting gets a near fall on Killings. Abyss is released.
Abyss and Jarrett created a stack of four tables ontop of each other. Jarrett and Abyss work over Sting and Abyss as the match seeps into a lull. Sting and Abyss both go flying over the top rope as Truth counters an Irish whip into a Flatliner. Jarrett responds by crotching Killings on the top rope and then scoring with the Stroke from the apron into the guard rail for the 1-2-3. Jeff Jarrett is Elligable, Truth is in the penalty box.
Cage throws Jarrett into the penalty box and then all four remaining men brawl through the crowd. Sting beats Abyss with chair shots in the crowd while the fans chant "TNA". Cage tries to throw Jeff off the balcony but Jeff manages to block and they slug their way back down to ringside, Cage takes a bump down the steps as Sting throws Abyss into a wall denting it, you can actually see the shock on the face of a woman in the crowd. Jarrett closelines Cage over the guard rail. Abyss reverses an Irish whip sending Sting into the broken wall. Ron Killings is released.
While everyone is brawling in the crowd Truth sets up the ladder and goes to hang the belt. Jarrett spots him but Truth does the SUPER SLOW ladder climbing. Abyss rolls in and tips the ladder over and Truth takes one of his lame looking Ladder bumps. Jarrett scores with a baseball slide on Sting. Jarrett and Abyss combine forces to kill everyone with the ladder, Truth does the splits to dodge the ladder and then jumps on ladder and they do the spot that AJ did where Abyss and Jeff throw Truth over top rope and he takes an impressive bump.
Cage and Sting then dropkick the ladder back into Abyss and Jarrett's face. Cage does the ladder sandwich spot on Jarrett and attempts to climb the lader upside down, Abyss picks Christian off the ladder with an electric drop but Cage counters headscissoring both men over the top rope. That was horribly tame. Everyone is down and the fans start to come to life.
Truth sets up the ladder in the centre of the ring and takes a million years, Abyss shoves the ladder over and Truth takes a big bump to the outside. Abyss tips the ladder the other way and Earl Hebner takes a big bump. Abyss won't let Jarrett climb the ladder and takes the belt. Mitchell says its DOOMSDAY and Abyss hits the Black Hole Slam on Jarrett, theirs no ref but Slick Johnson runs out from backstage and counts the 1-2-3. Abyss is elligabe, Jarrett is in the penalty box.
Abyss hits a sloppy big boot on a charging Cage and climbs the ladder suspiciously near the ropes, Sting shoves the ladder over and Abyss takes the bump through three tables. The crowd are going nuts of course. Cage and Sting have a stand off, Sting no sells everything before hitting the Stinger splash and locking in the Scorpion Death lock, one of the worst I've ever seen but he won't tap. Jeff comes out of the penalty box early and clobbers Sting with NWA World Title belt.
Jarrett tries to use the guitar but Cage stops him. Sting locks Jeff in the Death Lock and tells Cage to climb and win the belt. Larry Zbysko runs in and low blows Cage who falls out of the ring. Larry Zbysko takes a funny comedy bump out of the ring when Sting nails him. Sting then counters the Stroke brilliantly into the Scorpion Death drop and he uses the unconscious Earl Hebner to count the three. Sting is Elligable, Jeff Jarrett is in the penalty box.
Sting and Cage argue at the top of the ladder and Earl Hebner shoves over the ladder and the crowd just boo the shit out of that. Jeff then climbs the ladder and hangs the belt as the crowd belt the crap out of Jeff with bottles and turn on the finish. Rudy Charles runs up to Jarrett and takes the Belt to Cornette and Jarrett cartoonishly screams noooo on his knees on the ramp while bottles ping of his head.
Well that finish was absolute crap and at the time was the most incredibly symbolic moment that summed up everything that was wrong with TNA at that point, this was the ultimate incarnation of the people Turning on the Jeff Jarrett show, this was go away heat not heel heat. The match was solid, exciting to start but faded as it went along and became limp leading to the ludicrious finish. (***1/4)
Chaptner Twenty Four: Milestones
Jeff talks about a series of milestones, he talksa bout Toby Keith turning down the white house to be on TNA, Jeff talksa bout FOX sport putting them on a three and blowing away people with the ratings, then he talks about, toys, DVDs and international tours. Jeff then talks about Spike and the Video.

Jeff says they did so much for Kurt Angles soul as much as his career. Kurt says Jeff said he didn't have to do tours, dates and house shows and Jeff said that's fine. Boy did they brush over that!!! Mick Foley then talks about TNA putting on the better in ring product, Foley says he's always believed that and that TNA has a better backstage atomsphere, people aren't gunning against each other. Jeff then talks about AJ Styles being a landscaper when he found him, AJ then says he feels like he's grown as a human being.
Fan's Revenge Match
Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Jarrett
Well so much for my hopes this would be a good match, if you don't know eighteen fans are surrounding the ring with leather straps and they get to whip Jarrett when he's on the outside of the ring, yes its that stupid, I'm not joking.
Jarrett is wearing a silly number of T-shirts and jumpers so he doesn't feel the straps. Joe dodges a closeline and scores with the flying knee strike. Joe scores with a running knee strike in the corner and then the enzenguri, Joe tries to toss Jarrett but he manages to hang on and roll back into the ring. Jarrett slips out of the island driver and hits a club to the back. Jarrett again nearly falls to outside but Jeff scoots back into the the ring quickly. Jarrett runs straight into the STJOE and bails and the fans whip the crap out of Jarrett. Jeff thows Joe into the guard rail but they leave him.
Jeff brings Joe back into the ring and takes a whipping. Jeff returns to the ring with a stolen belt and he whips the crap out of Joe. Jeff plays to the crowd before choking Joe with the belt, Jeff then whips Joe in the neck?!? with the belt. Joe unloads with a flurry but Jeff cuts him off witha belt assisted closeline. Jarrett then scores with a loaded right hand. Joe is down and out and the fans enthusiasm is waning as they start a "Fuck You Jarrett" chant.
Jeff scores with a top rope crossbody for a two count, Jeff follows it up with a regular cross body for a two count. Jeff tries another flying cross body but Joe nonchalantly walks away as Jeff crases and burns. Joe hits the diving Yakuza kick adn the senton back splash. Joe removes the T-shirts and back body drops Jeff to the outside, the fans then whip the crap out of Jarrett. The fans throw Joe a belt and he unloads on Jeff.
Joe runs straight into a nice dropkick but Jeff returns the favour by running into a snap powerslam for a near fall. Jeff dodges a stiff kick and gets a roll up for two Jeff tries to tie Joe to the ropes with his T-Shirt but Joe Reverses and ties Jeff in the ropes and Joe signals for the fans to come in and give Jeff a beating. Jeff bails and gets the guitar and a beating on route. Joe dodges a guitar shot and locks in the Kojima Clutch but as Jeff fades he falls near enough the ropes to get hi foot on them.
Joe shoves the referee for no reason allowing Jeff to score with the Stroke onto the guitar for a very near fall. Joe and Jeff exchange bitch slaps, Joe wins but he misses the corner knee strike. Jeff puts Joe on the second rope and goes for the Super Stroke but Joe counters with a diving enzenguri and then the Musclebuster gets the 1-2-3.
The limitations of the gimick always meant that the match would suffer, but this was a fun little match, that wasn't exactly special but served its purpose. (***)
Jim Cornette comes to the ring and has an announcement that TNA is going to prime time, but then reveals that that's his announcement but its not the announcement and they roll a video of Kurt Angle saying he's coming to TNA. At the time that was a huge shock as TNA had kept that announcement incredibly close to their chests.
Chapter Twenty Five: How Long You Going To Do This
Apparently when Jeff turned thirty and he was wrestling Ric Flair and Jill asked him how long are you going to do this. Jeff said he promised he'd re-evalute his career on every birthday and on his birthday after Jill's death he decided he was conclusively done, he didn't feel like wrestling anymore.
NWA World Heavyweight Title
Career vs. Title
Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett
Special enforcer: Kurt Angle
Sting actually gets a bigger pop than Angle but then again he is the one actually wrestling so perhaps that should be expected. They lock up and Sting shoves Jarrett off meekly. Jeff scores with an arm drag and they star each other down. Jeff grabs a side headlock and follows it up by countering Stings hip toss into one of his own. Jeff tries hip toss but Sting blocks, Sting misses wildy and Jeff then manages to hit the hip toss, Jarrett continues to look cocky and Sting looks very frustrated. Nice start.
Sting hits a shoulder tackle but misses a closeline allowing Jarrett to score with a big right hand, and Sting now paces around the ring looking frustrated. They lock up Sting blocks a right hand but misses a closeline and Jarrett scores with the dropkick and struts while Sting bails and attempts to regain his compsure. Jeff tells Sting he hasn't got it and then spits on Sting.
Sting unloads and then counters a back body drop into a big running powerbomb, Sting then gives Jarrett snake eyes and closelines him hard over the top rope. Jarrett bumps into Kurt and they exchange shoves as Kurt demands Angle returns to the ring. Sting gets board of watching them argue and he goes outside to get himself a peice of Jarrett. Sting thows Jarrett around ringside, the ref tries to break it up but Kurt throws the ref back in.
Jeff whips Sting hard into the guard rail and attempts to uses a steel chair but Kurt takes the chair and Sting slaps Jarrett around the ears. Sting then scores with a suplex on the entrance ramp and Sting plays to the crowd and grabs a chair but Angle takes the chair from Sting. Jarrett charges and Sting ducks and Jarrett punches the chair into Angle's face. Jarrett then DDTs Sting on the ramp and drops Sting throat first on the guard rail.
Jarrett works over Sting who dodges an elbow before running straight into the sleeper hold. Sting fights out and they completely blow reapplying the hold and quickly switch up and they go to a double crossbody collsion spot and both men are down. The referees count is about to reach then when Angle charges the ring and hits the Angle Slam on the referee the crowd pop huge and Kurt shouts lets get it on.
Sting unloads on Jarrett and scores with a Manhatten drop and then two closelines, Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop but it only gets a near fall. Jeff hits a knee to the gut before scoring with the Stroke for a near fall. Jeff looks very frustrated. Jarrett goes for a Tombstone but Sting reverses into one of his own and Jeff kicks out at 2.999. Sting heads up top but Jarrett hits a low blow. Kurt shoves Jeff, Jeff goes for the Stroke but Sting counters whipping Jarrett off the top rope. Sting goes for a big splash but Jeff gets his knees up and Jarrett immediately locks on the Figure Four Leglock.
Sting gets the crowd going before reversing the hold and making the ropes. Jarrett then locks on the Ankle Lock and gets in Angle's face, Kurt looks pissed but then conctrates on Refereeing. Sting flips Jarrett out of the ring to counter the hold. Sting hops on his foot to get the feeling back. Sting grabs the Bat but after a stand off Angle takes it from him. When Sting turns Jarrett nails him with the Guitar shot of Doom.
Sting no sells the guitar shot and Hulks Up! The crowd go apeshit as Sting floors Jarrett and locks in the Scorpion Death Lock and Jeff Jarrett taps out. Sting and Angle have a brief stare down before Sting is handed the belt and he plays to the crowd.
Well that was a pretty good main event, it was never in danger of being an all time classic the in ring work wasn't of a high enough level but they did a good job of telling a story and giving the match an epic feel. They blew a spot or two but it didn't effect the match much, Kurt was very good in this match and played his role well, the finish was a nice touch all though a few Stinger Splashes prior to the deathlock wouldn't have gone a miss. Good main event. (***1/4)
Chapter Twenty Six: The Future of TNA
Jeff says in proffesional wrestling you have to innovative, you have to change, even on a night to night basis. Borash says they won't rest, their always gunning for the next big show or next big achievement. Jarrett says business isn't cyclical, he says people get fat and lazy, he says he's gonna be innovative, with new matches and innovations. Jeff says he's promoting a new way of broadcasting wrestling. Terry Taylor says TNA TURNS NO ONE OFF, IT'S FAMILY FRIENDLY WHAT FUCKING SHOW IS HE WATCHING.
We then go to a clip of Samoa Joe wrestling AJ Styles the referee gets bumped and AJ goes for the Styles Clash but Joe counters with the muscle buster but AJ escapes and goes for a roll up, but Joe counters to a Clutch, there's no referee and about ten people start to brawl and Jeff Jarrett's music hits and he's carrying a guitar. Jarrett comes into the ring all smiles and he kills AJ with the guitar and signals to Joe.
Chapter Twenty Seven: Sealed Envelope
Jarrett says he has a couple of goals left to achieve as a promoter but he won't tell us on DVD. Dixie Carter says her dream and her goal is to become the biggest and best wrestling company in the world, Dixie says she believes TNA aren't the biggest but right now they are the best. Jeff explains he has some goals but it does TNA no good to discuss them now.
Lethal Lockdown
Christian Cage, AJ Styles, Abyss, Tomko & Scott Stiner vs. Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Sting & Rhino
Kurt Angle and AJ Styles start the match up. The cage is looking really weird and really face this year. AJ avoids locking up and acts like a dumb hick to the crowd before charging Angle but Kurt scores with an arm drag to start the match. Kurt gets a headlock takedown and he wrenches away at the headlock. AJ fights up but misses a closeline and Angle scores with a huge shoulder tackle that AJ sells brilliantly Kurt scores with a back breaker and pounds away at AJ Styles. AJ back flips over Kurt and clobbers him with a right, Kurt catches AJ trying a Stinger splash a scores with a double leg wrestling throw before hitting a big body slam. Kurt charges AJ but AJ sidesteps and Kurt goes hard head first into the steel cage. AJ chokes over Angle in the corner before hits a snapmare and a chinlock. Not exactly a thrilling start here. Kurt unloads but runs straight into a flying back elbow. AJ plays to the crowd but Kurt Angle pops up and scores with an Angle Slam out of nowhere and both men are down.
Abyss is the Next Entrant. Abyss is met with a series of right hands from Kurt but after a distraction from AJ Abyss scores with the Shock Treatment and plays to the crowd. Abyss unimaginatively pounds away at Kurt in the corner. AJ hits a big bitch slap on Kurt and they choke over Kurt in the corner. Abyss hits a avalanche in the corner.
Rhino is the Next Entrant. Rhino charges right in and unloads on both men. Rhino hits the corner spear on both Abyss and Styles before giving Abyss a side belly to belly suplex. Rhino goes for the Gore but Abyss counters with the chokeslam but Rhino fights out and scores with a shoulder tackle. Rhino catapults AJ into the cage and AJ sells it superbly again. Kurt and Rhino hit a double shouldler tackle on Abyss and they then work over both men in the corner.
Tomko is the Next Entrant. Tomko kills Rhino wiht a big boot and then takes down Angle with a big closeline. Tomko then hits a nice running knee strike on Rhino and then gives Kurt Angle a running powerslam. Rhino is busted open and Tomko begins to rip away at the wound of Rhino. We're back to methodical beatdowns all round.
Samoa Joe is the Next Entrant. Joe unloads on everybody beating the absolutel crap out of everything that moves. Joe gives Abyss the atomic drop, Yakuza kick adn back splash combo. Joe then comes off the second rope with the flying knee strike on Tomko. AJ suprise Joe with a dropkick but then runs straight into a mamoth STJOE and then gives AJ the Muscle buster. Tomko missess a closeline and Kurt hits Five rolling multiple German suplexes! Great section.
Scott Stiener is the Next Entrant. Big Poppa Pump unloads with sloppy closelines before giving Kurt and Joe overhead release belly to belly suplexes. Scott then goes to the corner and Rhino the Frankenstiener. Scott gives Kurt the side belly to belly suplexes and the commentators are absolutely shocked. Rhino sold it really well. Joe unloads with his jab and roundhouse combo on Abyss. Another really good section.
Sting is the Next Entrant. Sting closelines down everyone before giving Abyss the Scopion Death Drop and playing to the crowd. Then its time for Stinger Splashes for all of team Cage. Sting then crotches Steiner and nearly knocks him through the door. We then go to a Five man tower of Doom spot and AJ is busted open that was very well executed. Sting locks Scott Stiener in the Scorpion Death lock, another great section.
Christian Cage is the Final Entrant for Team Cage. Cage unloads hitting Kurt and Joe while there backs are turned. Sting gives Cage a back body drop and Cage tries to unload on Sting but Sting just no sells everything. Sting unloads and gives Cage a pair of Stinger Splashes before throwing him face first into the cage and locking Christian in the Scorpion Death Lock.
Jeff Jarrett is the Final Entrant for Team Angle. Jeff walks to ring and unloads with a dropkicks on everyone to ABSOLUTELY NO POP!!! The lethal lock down begins and the celling is lowered. A huge brawl errupts! Jarrett won't let Cage reach the weapons and Jeff goes up and gets the baseball bat and throws it to Sting to unloads. Rhino starts killing everyone with a trash can. Joe kills AJ with a night stick and then Jeff comes off the top rope with a huge trash can lip shot on Abyss. Jarrett then hits a series of ten lid shots on Scott Stiener.
AJ manages to get the bat and he cleans house, Kurt stops him and hits a German suplex before AJ cuts him off with a low blow and AJ heads up to the top of the Cell. Kurt Angle joins AJ on top of the cell and they brawl as Abyss gets thumbtacks below. At ringside Harley Race unloads on Mitchell. Joe hits a flying Enzenguri off top knocking Tomko down then in an amazing spot Rhino GORES Tomko through the door and into the guard rail. On top of the cell AJ nails Kurt with a chair. Joe hits a suicide dive out of the cage onto Tomko and everyone is brawling to the outside.
In the cage Abyss lays down a row of thumb tacks, Abyss goes for a double chokelsma but Sting and Abyss counter before double chokeslamming Christian Cage onto the tacks with Cage sells brilliantly. Abyss then scores with the Black Hole Slam on Jarrett. Kurt Angle then slugs AJ sending him for an insane flip onto a crowd of wrestlers and Angle goes all crazy old man ontop of the cage.
In the ring Abyss loads a guitar full of Thumb tacks as the crowd chant "this is awesome". Jarrett gets the guitar and it looks like he going to hit Sting but when Sting turns Jeff tells him to move out the way and Jarrett kills Abyss with the thumb tack guitar! Jeff then tells Sting to take the pin which Sting reluctantly accepts for the 1-2-3. Post match the faces surround Jarrett before shaking hands.
Well that wasn't as good as the first but was still entertaining, this match was inconsistant started very slow but picked up tremendously as it went along. It was just a collection of spots towards the end but a pretty good one. This was very hit and miss full of blown spots but equally full of fun moments. (***1/2)
Chapter Twenty Seven: Favorite Memories
Jeff Jarrett runs through all of his favorite moments their basically all the matches on this DVD. Interestingly Jeff Jarrett goes on to say that Kurt Angle is without a peer in the wrestling industry he calls him the best wrestler of all time and says his match at bound for Glory with Kurt with his best. Angle then says that Jeff Jarrett doesn't no how to quit and that's what makes him great.
Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle
Special Enforcer: Mick Foley
Okay Jeff its your last match on the main feature can you deliver four stars against one of the greatest wrestlers of modern times? I did rate one of his recent contests with Kurt four stars but I can't remember this one, I'm pretty sure I already have a review up for this match, well I'll re-review, and you can check my conistency.
Oh I remember this match, Kurt has threatened Jeff's family and called him a coward to get him to come back to the ring and made it personal. Kurt gets a double leg trip to start, Don West is telling us that these two want to "rip each other apart". Kurt gets another leg trip and paint brushes the back of Jeff's head. Jeff is frustrated and charges right into a headlock takedown, Kurt then hits a hard shoulder tackle and then reapplies the headlock takedown. The crowd are pretty rabid.
Jeff returns fire with a hip toss and then he grabs a sideheadlock takedown. One idiot in the crowd is chanting boring. Jeff scores with a shoulder tackle and then grabs a side headlock takedown. Kurt hits a back suplex but Jarrett doesn't release the hold, Kurt has to power up to the corner to break the hold. Kurt lays in some knees and hits a european uppercut, Jeff gets a leap frog to set up his dropkick and he then closelines Angle hard to the outside and then scores with a plancha as the crowd come to life.
Jarrett whips Kurt into the guard rail and then tries an axe handle off the apron but Kurt sidesteps and Jeff crashes and burns. Kurt takes control as they return to the ring and Kurt unloads with a European uppercut before choking Jarrett on the middle rope. Jeff replies with the Manhatten drop and an enzenguri, then its rope rider time and Jeff breaks out the strut but Kurt explodes with a closeline and both men are down. Good stuff.
Kurt is up first and he hits a nice back breaker for a two count Kurt then returns to the side headlock, geez Kurt. This chinlock goes on and on, Jeff fights out and scores with an uppercut, Jeff floats over a blind charge and gets a roll up for a near fall, Kurt is pissed and hits another hard closeline for a two count. Kurt hits a vertical suplex but only gets a two count and then slaps back on the chinlock, agian this is the Orton chinlock there is no moverment being created by either man.
The crowd are going bananas as Jeff fights out and unloads. Kurt goes for a huge blind charge and Kurt goes flying head first into the post in a really nice spot, Jeff dodges a closeline and nails a nice DDT and both men are down. Slugfest, Kurt gets a knee to the gut but Jeff explodes with a series of closelines and then scores with a Blue Thunder bomb for a near fall. Kurt runs into a boot but Angle manages to counter a closeline into an overhead release German suplex for a two count.
Kurt goes for the Angle slam but Jarrett counters nicely into a DDT for a near fall. Jeff puts Kurt on the top rope and unloads, Jeff goes for the superplex but Angle fights him of and tires a Belly to Belly to the outside but Jarrett counters to the superplex in a nice spot, that gets a near fall. Kurt gets a leg trip and slaps on the Figure Four leg lock, Kurt screams in pain but he's right in the middle of the ring. Kurt manages to scoot his way to the ropes but he can't quite make it but eventaully Angle manages to over turn the hold and make the ropes.
Kurt dodges a closeline and hits a German suplex for a near fall and then turns it into the rolling German suplexes and that gets a near fall. Kurt goes for the Angle slam but Jarrett counters to an arm drag, Kurt counters a powerbomb into a back body drop and he rolls through into an ankle lock right in the centre of the ring. Kurt pulls Jarrett away from the rope and Jeff thinks about tapping but Jeff rolls through to counter. Kurt scores with the Angle Slam for a very near fall.
Angle is frustrated as the crowd chant this is awesome. Kurt goes for the Moonsault but Jeff manages to roll out of the way and the crowd are behind Jarrett. Jeff dodges a closeline and the referee gets bumped. Jeff hits three big knees to the gut and then the Stroke, Mick rolls into the ring and it gets a near fall. Mick checks on the referee and while he's distracted Kurt hits a low blow. Mick tells Kurt he's not using a chair and Kurt absolutely kills Mick Foley with a chair shot and then Kurt gives Jeff an absolutely brutal chair shot 1-2-Mick pulls the referee out fo the ring. Foley gets in Mick's face and he unloads on Kurt and locks in the Socko claw and then spins him into the Guitar shot from Jeff Jarrett and that gets teh 1-2-3.
Well that was a good outing from these two but here's the one nagging question that's on my mind, if this was a brutal blood feud where to quote Don West they wanted to "rip each other apart" why did they proceed to wrestle a very regular scientific wrestling match. Jeff was on good form here regardless the action was crisp and flowed well picking it up as they went along. A lot of chinlocking in this one which was odd seeing as the match didn't go that long. The finish was nice, here the over booking was done nicely and Foley's involvement was alot of fun. Good but not Great, story of Jarrett's life, the comeback match would be up the anti. Best singles match on the DVD. (***1/2)
Chapter Twenty Eight: To Teach is to Learn Twice
What is the Future of Jeff Jarrett outside of Wrestling? Jeff says he didn't plan on being a widow, he say he thinks Owen and Jill are looking down and saying boy you got stumped on this question. He starts talking about God, excercise and his daughters. His friend says there are three things you know about Jarrett, he love his wife, he loves god and he loves his kids. Jeff says he won't be selfish and worry about the future. AJ says he understands that Jeff wants the best for everyone and that he wants everyone to suceed.
Jeff tells a story about Jimmy Valiant and his two tattoos "live as if you know, as if you do" the second tattoo says "To Teach is to learn twice". Jeff says its so true, Jeff says when he teaches a wrestler its deep, thats how he sees giving back by never retiring and teaching.
The End
Overall Thoughts: I actually lied there are serval bonus matches from Jarrett's memphis days including a match with Jerry Lawler that looks really interesting but I can't be fucked with more Jeff Jarrett, I'm just going to review the main feature.
The final disk was frustrating this had a very strong level of wrestling and some quite memorable matches, however when it comes to the Sting and Angle matches I think they picked the wrong two. The Sting match one year later was much stronger and the second Angle match was also much stronger, infact I'm suprised that both matches didn't feature considering some of the horrible matches that made it onto the DVD.
Jeff Jarrett wrestling wise is the King of the three star match, he never really excels to greatness and he is very reliant on the over booked finish, as we all know, I might have to start calling it the Jarrett after watching this DVD. Nothing on this DVD match wise ever felt epic but it was all good, I can't say you gotta get this DVD to see such and such a match it was all consistantly solid if frustrating at times, hard to judge.
The documentary part of this disk was just completely overbearing and bullshit filled, it was the we love Jeff Jarrett show. Jeff Jarrett must be the greatest humanitarian walking the face of the earth, or at least that's what this disk would have you believe. It's just too much and too annoying especially as every other minute we're hearing how humble Jeff is, ugh. There is less interesting insight on this disk as it very much has the everything is wonderfull PR spin.
So all in all this Disk was pretty strong, it was shorter and focussed more on wrestling which was all pretty strong, but not the most interesting, again much like Jeff Jarrett so we'll go (7/10)
Overall Four Disk Set Rating: As you won't be suprised to hear FOUR DISKS is too bloody much Jeff Jarrett he's not that special and not that interesting. He's never been a draw and he's never been that over, still that's not to say he isn't deserving of a DVD as he has some good matches and some interesting stories to tell especially about Memphis, WCW and WWE but the arse kissing portion of the DVD is far too over bearing and the wrestling isn't of a sufficient standard to over come the self obssessed nature of the DVD. This would have made an excellent two disk set with maybe a bonus disk of all matches but four, no, no, no. I mean Ric Flair only got a three disk set, granted in total he has Seven disks but Ric is more than seven times more important than Jeff Jarrett. Disk Two is worth downloading for the documentary, Disk Four for a some good wrestling, however if you plan on paying for this it is for die hards only. (6/10)
