Doctor Who - City Of Death Reviews Part One and Two

My reveiw today shall be looking into the doctor who episode city of death which when it was brodcast was the highest veiwed doctor who episode ever this story features the 4th doctor (tom Baker) and Romana 2 (lalla ward) and was written by scifi author Douglas Adams and featured a small cameo from john clese , the story starts off with a climps of a space ship stranded on a barren world in which it experiences technical problems and it suddenly explodes.

The Doctor and Romana are in Paris on a 'holiday', you can tell this is one of the first times the bbc has filmed one of there main shows abroad as they are all to keen to make sure you see shots of the Eiffle tower and Notre dame and a vist to the lovre for the plot to fully begin some 5 mins later into the first episode, The doctor and romana decide to vist what the doctor thinks is the universes greatest picture romana is not that impressed with it, suddenly time goes weird and they are stuck in a deja vu loop for a while.

Once free of the time distorsions they begin to meet some other charecters notablie degan whos a private detective suspisious that someone is trying to steal the mona lisa and a woman the doctor colides into and takes her bracelet, Degan follows the doctor to a cafe to which all 3 get suronded by the henchman of the lady that the doctor stole the bracelet off and get escourted back to the count and countess house.

In the house we find a small russian physicist begin to build a basic time machine to which he believes will be used to help solve world hunger by being able to turn an egg into a chicken in seconds. however this poor russian (yes i do know the name but i cant even attempt spelling it with out making my self look a fool) has been over worked, next to his lab is the prison were the doctor romana and dugan are placed they quickly escape the prison explore the lab and while the time machine is left running an ominous head of the alien from the first scene appears hovering, degan then knocks the russian out.

Romana then procedes to discover a secret room filled with copies of the mona lisa 6 in fact 6 original, degan then reveals he knows of 7 people who would want one, we then cut to a scene of the count and countess planning to steal the one in the lovre ( get it eh eh 7 original mona lisas 7 secret buyers eh eh ). so the doctor decided to go back to da vincis work room to see whats going on 7 mona lisas this makes no sense (he leaves romana and degan back in paris) when he arrives he meets an angry guard who calls for his boss who turns out to be be be the COUNT. cue closing credits.
